The Old Museum Clock or Andy's Magic Clock, is a time travel device that rests in the National Museum. Andy appears to be the only person to know the powers of the clock.

Properties[]

The clock looks like an ordinary grandfather clock, with carvings of Triceratops, Sauropods, Therapods, a Pterosaur, dinosaur footprints and ferns. It has a gold clock face and a creature dial that both glow blue when activated.

The clock activates right before the Museum's opening time in Andy's Dinosaur Adventures and after closing time in Andy's Prehistoric Adventures, signaled by its Pterosaur cuckoo and chimes. Andy asks the clock "To the time of [the creature whose era he wants to go to]" and the clock dials start reversing. Andy then gets sucked in by blue light and the clock travels in time and space to the creatures time period and location then Andy is expelled from the clock.

After about 15 minutes in ADA and several hours in APA, the clock starts chiming again indicating it is about to leave. Andy then has moments to get back to the clock otherwise it will leave without him. When standing in front, Andy gets sucked back in by blue light and travels forward in time, back to the National Museum, right before opening time, and Andy is expelled again.

Incidents[]

Sometimes on Andy's and the Clock's time travel journeys, the Clock has been involved in some incidents:

Dinosaur Adventures[]

  • When Andy travelled to the Triassic, some Coelophysis knocked the clock on its side and one jumped on top of the clock, blocking Andy from returning to the Museum until he scared the dinosaurs away. (Cynodont and Lichen)
  • On another occasion in the Triassic, the clock landed on a waterfall; then it and Andy were washed over the edge. Andy used the clock as a raft to reach the edge of the river. He then propped the clock upright to dry, thankfully it was still ticking when he checked it. (Coelophysis and Fish)

Prehistoric Adventures[]

  • When the clock landed on an island in the Late Jurassic, Andy used the clock as a raft to get to the main shore, however Predator X knocked Andy off it. As Andy retrieved his backpack from the ocean floor, he later surfed out to the floating clock. (Kimmerosaurus and Clamshell)
  • Once in the Late Cretaceous, a Hatzegopteryx pterosaur picked up the clock and flew off with it but dropped it in a pond with a crocodile in it. Andy had to pole-vault to reach the Clock. (Magyarosaurus and Reeds)
  • When in the Ice Age, the Clock turned into an icicle, luckily Andy's Wooly Mammoth friend helped break the ice. (Mammoth and Ice)
  • The Clock landed in knee-deep Mangrove water, in the Eocene. (Basilosaurus and Barnacles)
  • The clock once landed on a ridge near a waterfall in the Great Rift Valley, Africa, Late Pliocene, meaning Andy was stuck. He then used the clock as a bridge to get to the other side but the clock fell into the river. It washed up on a rock downstream. (Australopithecus and Tool)

Andy's Amazing Adventures Live on Stage[]

  • Whilst on his 2023 Australian Tour, Andy didn't have access to his Magic Clock for showing Dinosaurs in his presentation, luckily Jen and Kip the Cat were able to make a Time Window for him to use.
